Lady Gaga kept her word and tweeted some awesome news about her upcoming album Born This Way at the stroke of midnight last night. The pop star didn't reveal just one secret, as promised, but three big pieces of information about the record!
She posted a link to a Twitpic of her album cover, with the message: "THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11."
So, there you have it: The album art, her first single is due out the day before Valentine's Day (what a present for her little monsters!), and the entire album will drop May 23. Lady Gaga's 2011 is looking pretty awesome already.
Gaga was way excited about revealing the good news. As the night wore on and the countdown to midnight got smaller, she posted messages to eager fans like: "This has to be the happiest + most exciting night of my life. You've created this moment. You imagined me. You are, you wrote #BornThisWay."
It's been quite a year for Ms. Gaga, who was recently named the best-selling artist of 2010 by Billboard. The songstress wrote about the honor: "THE FAME MONSTER was named the best-selling album of 2010! I'm so excited for the future, believe + work hard, you will achieve your dreams."
